Product Description
A Fiber Laser Engraver (also known as a Fiber Laser Marking Machine) is a solid-state, computer-controlled (CNC) industrial system that uses an optical fiber cable doped with rare-earth elements to generate an ultra-precise, high-energy laser beam. Unlike CO2 lasers which process organic materials, Fiber lasers are engineered specifically for high-speed, permanent marking, etching, and engraving on
all metals and hard plastics.
Key Structural Components
- Fiber Laser Source: The heart of the machine, rated by wattage (commonly 20W, 30W, 50W, or 100W). Raycus, JPT, and IPG are the leading global industrial brands.
- Galvanometer (Scan Head): High-speed optical scanning mirrors that move the laser beam at speeds up to 7,000 mm/s to 10,000 mm/s.
- F-Theta Lens: Dictates the actual marking area window (e.g., 110x110 mm, 200x200 mm, or 300x300 mm). It ensures the laser spot stays uniform across the flat working grid.
- Control Board & Motherboard: Most industrial machines utilize the industry-standard JCZ (EZCAD) motherboard, which connects directly to a PC.
Machine Advantages & Features
- High Processing Speed: Operates up to 10 times faster than a CO2 laser, finishing complex barcodes or text logos in a fraction of a second.
- Zero Maintenance & Consumables: There are no mirrors to align, no gas tubes to refill, and no water chiller required for standard models (they are entirely air-cooled).
- Massive Lifespan: The fiber laser source is incredibly durable, lasting up to 100,000 working hours (approx. 810 years of operations).
- Extreme Resolution: The 1.06m wavelength produces a microscopic laser dot, allowing for ultra-fine micro-text, detailed 2D barcodes, and crisp jewelry hallmarking.
Material Compatibility
- Metals (Full Capability): Stainless Steel, Iron, Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Gold, Silver, Titanium, and Platinum.
- Plastics: High-density plastics like ABS, PVC, Nylon, Polycarbonate, and Acrylics (dark shades).
Typical Industry Applications
- Jewelry Industry: Hallmark stamping, intricate name engraving, and pattern etching on gold and silver rings, bangles, and pendants.
- Automotive & Medical: Permanent serial number marking, 2D QR codes, and batch code etching on engine parts, medical surgical tools, and chassis plates.
- Hardware & Tools: Laser branding on kitchen knives, wrenches, bearings, measuring taps, and plumbing fixtures.
